I was excited for this challenge because I love owls! We hear lots of owls in the park behind our home and have seen baby owls in the trees - very cool!   I received this cute owl from a friend and and added a Mark's Finest Papers greeting from the Autumn Splender set.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the challenge title for this week was BUTTERFLIES! I think I have more butterfly stamps than any other thing in my stash.  I like the way they just flitter around looking like they don't have a care in the world!

The colors in this picture didn't turn out quite right, but it's the best I could get it.  The background is supposed to be more green.  I like this sketch - a nice layout for many types of cards!

I was really excited about this challenge because it gave me a chance to work with a new stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers - Autumn Splendor.  I used a few of the small pumpkins from Halloween Selections as well. I love fall colors!!

MFP Simple Salutations #114 - play ball

This was a fun, fun challenge for me.  I was never a player but an avid spectator of most sports...especially baseball.  I spent a lot of time in the bleachers and always joked that I had more blankets and sweatshirts in my car during the summer than I did in the winter!!!  I made the little baseballs out of  white candies and drew the laces with a red Copic marker.

It's starting to look like fall outside, so I wanted to use some fall colors for this card. The butterfly and sentiment are from Mark's Finest Papers.  I don't think of using circular cards very much, but this was a fun card to make and I can see me doing this more.

I used one of my favorite sayings for this card and chose a lacy-type background of gray and black.
I don't think of using yellow and gray together, but I like it that the challenges force us to use different color combos.....opens my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities.
