Hi, my name is Terri. I started crafting at an early age when my grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels. Over the years I've tried many other crafting mediums, and have found my favorite in rubber stamping. My wonderful guy (Craig) supports me in everything I do........I'm very blessed!! I love learning new things and hopefully will inspire others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....have a wonderful day!
I have to admit I don't make a lot of square cards.....not really sure why. Maybe because I don't have a lot of square envelopes?? Ha Ha Ha. I used BasicGrey paper scraps.
Layered embossing was not something I had tried before, so I was excited to learn this technique! I used the Swiss dot embossing folder and liked how the background turned out. What a great way to add a little something to single layer pieces!
These are great spring colors and since it actually got above freezing (32*) today, I'm ready for spring!! I love using the embossing folders for texture on a card, and the polka dot bow finished it off.
I love this color combination! I used an embossing folder on the cream stock and 2 die cuts for the message part. I used a greeting from Mark's Finest Papers...one of my favorites!
I found this cute snowman and tree, then stamped and heat embossed the greeting. I added some white snow to the ground and silver to the tree, although it's hard to see the silver in this picture. This was a great challenge with 2 of my favorite colors!!
I think this card will be one of the cards I send this year....I really like how it went together. I used a gold leafing pen to outline the layers and heat embossed the greeting from Stampin Up.
This was a fun, fun challenge! I can see me using this a lot in the future!! I used gold paper to cut the stars out of and some red circles from a repurposed string of tree trimming. The red velvet ribbon was from my (enormous) stash of ribbon. :-) The stamp is from Craftsmart.
MFP Friends of Speedy TV Challenge #145..... Red, gold, green
I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and decorated the tree with red and gold 'bling' from my stash. Added a greeting and wah-lah!.....a CAS card.
I would like to thank Mark's Finest Papers and the Friends of Speedy TV group for choosing this card as the winning entry. I earned the Hot Air Balloon stamp set.
I found this piece of rust- colored paper in my stash and matched it up with a blue and green scrap I found. It was interesting using all three colors together. That's whatI love about color challenges - it makes us think outside the box!
I'm not very experienced at quilling so I wasn't sure how this card would turn out. Once I got the hang of it, though, it was pretty fun! I added a sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers to my butterfly card.
What a great challenge - who doesn't like a snowman card?? I liked the "sand" color of the one picture, so I made my card from kraft card stock to represent the same color.
I love Autumn cards but I always end up using the same colors, so this time I forced myself to go outside my comfort zone. The greeting is from Mark's Finest Papers Autumn Splender set.
MFP FOSTV Challenge #144 - Include a moving element
This was a great challenge! I used a new corner die cut from Fun Stampers Journey and liked how it turned out. I think I'll do more Christmas cards like this.
