About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Terri. I started crafting at an early age when my grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels. Over the years I've tried many other crafting mediums, and have found my favorite in rubber stamping. My wonderful guy (Craig) supports me in everything I do........I'm very blessed!! I love learning new things and hopefully will inspire others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....have a wonderful day!

MFP April Blog Hop

MFP April Blog Hop - Bugs and Butterflies

This is my retiform card using the tutorial in Mark's Finest Papers' April Blog Hop.  I used a bright pink and a softer bamboo color to fill in the background, then stamped images from stamp sets Hello Butterflies and Bring On The Sun in a light brown.  I made a tag using the same colors and popped it up.   This was a fun technique and I liked how easy it was!  Thanks for a great tutorial!!

MFP Challenge 15

MFP Stamps Challenge 15 - Faux Patina

I used one of Marks' paper dolls for my image this week. I colored her dress and hair with Copic markers. For the tutorial colors I used Tim Holtz distress inks: Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass, Forest Moss and Walnut Stain.  Looking at it now I should have used more Tumbled Glass and Forest Moss because these colors didn't show up very well.  I liked the tutorial.....it's great for that "antique" or "vintage" look. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you to MFP Stamps for choosing my entry as the winner of this challenge.  I earned an awesome goodie bag full of special items!! Can't wait to see what they are!!  💁

MFP Challenge 9 - brown

I used the wolf stamp and the greeting from Mark's Finest Papers North American Woods stamp set. I  heat embossed the wolf using a copper embossing powder, then die cut it out and framed it with a larger die cut from the same set.  I added a small border around the greeting. Both were mounted on the card with pop dots.

I used 2 stamps from Marks Finest Papers "Friends" stamp set for this card. I colored the flowers with Copic markers and used distress ink on the white edges. After I embossed the white card stock, I used the distress ink to give it just a little color. This was a very easy tutorial to follow and I like how easily it all came together.
