About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Terri. My grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels when I was a little girl, and that started my love of crafting. Over the years I tried different things but my favorite is still stamping and card making. And what makes it better now is that my 2 sisters like it also!! It's fun when we can get together and make cards!! I love learning new ideas and techniques and give hope to others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....follow along if you'd like and see what we can create!!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 402

Hello and welcome to Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 402.  Our theme this week is "Heatwave", which means use hot colors. Our awesome sponsor this week is Winnie and Walter.  If you haven't had a chance to see their website, do yourself a favor and visit them....you will not be disappointed!!  And you'll probably come away with some darling sets, too!  Thank you to them for providing a stamp set for the design team to use.  I chose "Shirley's Blooms" and "Hello Cutaway".

I had my card in mind the second I saw this set - a pretty rare thing for me!  But with the "Heatwave" theme I knew I wanted flowers in hot colors and a simple sentiment so as not to detract from the flowers.  I stamped the individual flowers on white cardstock, then die cut the "Hello" in the same color as the base cards. I added some pink stickles and some Spectrum Noir sparkle marker.  Just a few clear rhinestones and I was finished.

Please visit our challenge this week HERE to see some great inspiration from the other design team members, and be sure to upload your creative project for a chance to win a prize from Winnie & Walter.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!
