About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Terri. My grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels when I was a little girl, and that started my love of crafting. Over the years I tried different things but my favorite is still stamping and card making. And what makes it better now is that my 2 sisters like it also!! It's fun when we can get together and make cards!! I love learning new ideas and techniques and give hope to others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....follow along if you'd like and see what we can create!!

MFP Challenge 288 - versa mark background

MFP Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge 288 - Versa mark background

I chose 2 stamps from the Autumn Glory stamp set for my card this week.  I stamped the leaf in versa mark and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I added a Happy Thanksgiving stamp toward the top and in the opposite corner stamped another stamp from the Autumn Glory set, colored with markers.  I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week!!

MFP Challenge 287

MFP Speedy Fox and Friends Challlenge 287 - watercolor stencil

This was not an easy challenge for me....I attempted multiple times to make this work, but couldn't get it to come out like I wanted.  I took the picture of the stencil so you could see what my background was supposed to look like! 😀  The stencil is from Dreamweaver.

MFP All About the Kids Baby Garland

MFP All About the Kids Baby Garland

For my garland I chose a puppy theme for a baby boy. I used stamps from Mark's Finest Papers' Fantastic Dogs and Firefighter stamp sets.  I used a gold stretchy cord to attach to the gift bag.  This garland went together very quickly and would be a nice variation to the usual gift tag used on gift bags!p

Thanks very much to Marks Finest Papers for choosing my name as a winner in the Kids Blog Challenge for trying the tutorials.  I earned the "Oh Baby" stamp set!

MFP All About the Kids Gift Card Holder

MFP All About the Kids Gift Card Holder

I have to admit when I started this project I wasn't so sure how it would turn out, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was......great directions, Vickie!!  I chose a Christmas theme for my project...what kid doesn't love a gift card?  I used some patterned paper from my stash and some green curling ribbon. I used this cute little gingerbread man from Mark's Finest Papers' Holiday Tags set.  Isn't he sweet?    I can definitely see me using this pattern again and again....it makes a nice, sturdy gift card holder.

Thanks very much to Marks Finest Papers for choosing my name as a winner in the Kids Blog Challenge for trying the tutorials.  I earned the "Oh Baby" stamp set!

MFP Challenge 286 - monochromatic colors

MFP Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge 286 - monochromatic color scheme

For my card I stamped a snowflake in a pale blue to make the background.  Then I stamped the word "Snowflakes" from Mark's Finest Papers "Snowflakes" set across the paper in a dark blue ink.  On a separate piece of paper I stamped in medium blue ink one of the snowflakes from the same stamp set, cut it out and mounted a piece of medium blue paper behind it.  I stamped "Warm Winter Wishes" from the "Snowball Mini" stamp set onto the front of the card in the same medium blue ink.

Thank you to Mark's Finest Papers for choosing my entry as the winner for this challenge!  I earned the stamp set "North American Woods".
