About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Terri. My grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels when I was a little girl, and that started my love of crafting. Over the years I tried different things but my favorite is still stamping and card making. And what makes it better now is that my 2 sisters like it also!! It's fun when we can get together and make cards!! I love learning new ideas and techniques and give hope to others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....follow along if you'd like and see what we can create!!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 349

Hello, and welcome to Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 349. Our theme this week is "creative borders" and we are very happy to be sponsored by Sunny Studio.  I chose this adorable stamp set called "Froggy Friends".  Please be sure to check out all of their adorable stamp sets at Sunny Studio!

I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers, popping up the frog with pop dots.  My border uses both a Nestibilities die cut and a Sizzix embossing folder - a Tim Holtz Alterations one.  In its entirety, it is a sunburst, but I thought it looked really cool as a partial border with this stamp set. it reminds me of water splashing.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure to check out all the other great cards by our design team at the challenge, and get your creative border project uploaded.  Can't wait to see what you create!  Have a wonderful day!

PIP Challenge 1725

Welcome to PIP Challenge 1725, an Anything Goes challenge, sponsored this week by Bugaboo Stamps.  I chose the digital image "Believe 4 Square".  Please check out all the great images at Bugaboo....you'll have a hard time deciding which one you like best!!

I made a square card this week.....a rare thing for me, but it works!  This image was so easy to work with.  I printed the image on watercolor paper and used my Tombow markers and a water brush.  I mounted the image on yellow cardstock and again on purple cardstock cut out using a scalloped edge square die cut. A few swishes of Wink of Stella and I was done!  Please be sure to check out all the great cards by the other Design Team members at our challenge, and get your entry in for a chance to win some great product!!  Thank you so much for stopping by - have a wonderful day!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 347

Welcome to Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 347, where our theme this week is "For the Men".  Our awesome sponsor this week is Dr. Digi.  Please be sure to check out their products....they have some of the cutest images!!

I selected "Rainy Raymond" for my image this week - and I colored him with Copic markers.  I wanted to keep my card pretty simple so I could keep him as the focus.  I used cardstock and patterned paper from my stash (yes, my very LARGE stash!) Lol.  I mounted the image on black paper and popped this and the sentiment up with pop dots.  My dad has a birthday coming up, and I think I will send this to him.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and I look forward to seeing your entry in our challenge!!  Have a wonderful day!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 410

I hadn't entered a card challenge in quite awhile, and when I saw the colors (tangerine, poppy and charcoal) for this challenge, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  I got out my pan pastels and created a silhouette scene with a sunset-type background. I used a stamp set from Amuse Studio and an embossing folder from Darice to make the card.  Not too bad for the first attempt at using pan pastels. Thanks so much for stopping by - have a great day!
