About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Terri. My grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels when I was a little girl, and that started my love of crafting. Over the years I tried different things but my favorite is still stamping and card making. And what makes it better now is that my 2 sisters like it also!! It's fun when we can get together and make cards!! I love learning new ideas and techniques and give hope to others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....follow along if you'd like and see what we can create!!

PIP Challenge 1830

Welcome to PIP Challenge 1830, where our sponsor this week is Newton's Nook and our theme is "Sunny Days".  Please be sure to visit Newton's Nook Designs to see all the awesome product they have to offer!

Do you know how sometimes you can see your finished card in your head prior to it being made?   And then sometimes it doesn't turn out anything like you thought it would?  THAT'S my card this week....turned out nothing like I thought it would!!  (lol)     I wanted to make a nice sunny, summery scene behind Newton taking a nap to fit in with our theme this week.  So I used images from Stampin' Up's High Tide set. I stamped Newton and fussy cut him out and colored him with Copic markers.  I popped him up with pop dots. I added a little sparkle marker from Spectrum Noir on the flowers and butterflies and just a touch on the water to make it sparkly.

Please check out the awesome inspiration from the other design team members at this week's challenge and be sure to uplink your project for a chance to win free product from Newton's Nook.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 402

Hello and welcome to Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 402.  Our theme this week is "Heatwave", which means use hot colors. Our awesome sponsor this week is Winnie and Walter.  If you haven't had a chance to see their website, do yourself a favor and visit them....you will not be disappointed!!  And you'll probably come away with some darling sets, too!  Thank you to them for providing a stamp set for the design team to use.  I chose "Shirley's Blooms" and "Hello Cutaway".

I had my card in mind the second I saw this set - a pretty rare thing for me!  But with the "Heatwave" theme I knew I wanted flowers in hot colors and a simple sentiment so as not to detract from the flowers.  I stamped the individual flowers on white cardstock, then die cut the "Hello" in the same color as the base cards. I added some pink stickles and some Spectrum Noir sparkle marker.  Just a few clear rhinestones and I was finished.

Please visit our challenge this week HERE to see some great inspiration from the other design team members, and be sure to upload your creative project for a chance to win a prize from Winnie & Walter.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!

PIP Challenge 1829

Welcome to PIP Challenge 1829, an Anything Goes challenge, sponsored this week by Polkadoodles! Thanks so much to Polkadoodles for providing an image for the design team members to use - I chose this adorable image called Sugarpops - Gifts.  It was so much fun coloring her with Copic markers and adding a few highlights with Spectrum Noir sparkle markers.  I had this paper in my stash and thought it coordinated well. And how lucky was I to find this matching ribbon and safety pin?? It was meant to be!   The final touch was a few gems randomly placed on the white background.  Be sure to visit our wonderful sponsor, Polkadoodles, to see all their awesome product, and then get your project linked up to our challenge this week.  Who knows.....your entry could be chosen to win an awesome prize!!  How cool is that?  Thank you so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!

PIP Challenge 1827

Happy Monday Everyone!  Welcome to PIP Challenge 1827, an Anything Goes challenge, sponsored this week by Di's Digis.  Please be sure to visit their website to see what cute and adorable images they have to offer.  Thanks for being such a great sponsor!!

My card this week uses images and an embossing folder from Stampin' Up.  I colored the stamp itself with markers and stamped the image on white paper. The sentiment was cut out using an oval die cut (sorry, can't remember who it is from) and then popped up with pop dots.  I added a black layer of paper to offset the image panel and then the whole thing is spritzed with shimmer spray.

Please be sure to check out the other inspiration from our design team members at this week's challenge and get your project uploaded for a chance to win a $12 gift certificate from Di's Digis.  That's a great prize!!  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!
