About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Terri. My grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels when I was a little girl, and that started my love of crafting. Over the years I tried different things but my favorite is still stamping and card making. And what makes it better now is that my 2 sisters like it also!! It's fun when we can get together and make cards!! I love learning new ideas and techniques and give hope to others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....follow along if you'd like and see what we can create!!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 416

Hello, and welcome to Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 416.  Our theme is "Webbed Wishes", which means use a spider web in your project.  We are sponsored this week by Di's Digi Stamps.  Please visit their website HERE to see all their great products!  My card this week features lots of items from my scraps pile.  I love to use up scraps!!  The pumpkin witch is from Northwoods stamp and colored with Copic markers.  The purple piece is cut with a Martha Stewart punch, and the embossed web is an unknown folder. I had the bat, the spider and Boo already cut out (unknown die cut) and used Spectrum Noir sparkle marker on them.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Please vising our challenge HERE to see some wonderful inspiration from the other design team members and get your project uploaded for a chance to win a really nice prize from Di's Digi Stamps.  Have a wonderful day!

PIP Challenge 1843

Welcome to PIP Challenge 1843, sponsored by Di's Digis.  Our theme this week is LEAVES.  Thanks so much to Di's Digis for being a great sponsor - check out all their wonderful products HERE.
I had so many ideas for a "leaves" card and ended up using an embossing folder technique.  I dobbered ink on the inside of the embossing folder, using different fall colors.  Then I ran a piece of white cardstock through the machine with the embossing folder, creating a background of leaves.  I used a single leaf image from Fun Stampers Journey and colored it with Copic markers.  I layered it on a piece of gold cardstock from my stash.  I made a banner of 2 other fall colors for accent.  I added 3 gold sequins to finish off the card.  I haven't decided what kind of card it will be yet, so no sentiment was added.  Please visit our challenge this week to see some awesome inspiration from the other design team members and get your project uplinked for a chance to win a really nice prize from Di's Digis.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

PIP Challenge 1842

Welcome to PIP Challenge 1842, an Anything Goes Challenge, sponsored this week by Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  I've chosen this cute image called Dr. Dan.  Please visit Digital Delights website to see all the wonderful products there!

I colored the image with watercolor pencils and an aqua pen and after it was all finished I wasn't sure what kind of card to make it.  So for now it is a generic card.  I used Spellbinders dies to cut it out and added a few enamel dots.  I added just a touch of Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the light and glasses.

So glad you stopped by - be sure to check out our challenge this week at PIP Challenges and get your project uplinked for a chance to win a nice prize from our sponsor.  Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 414

Happy Tuesday, and welcome to Tuesday Throwdown Challenge!  This week our theme is "Missing You" and our lovely sponsor is DRS Designs.  Thanks so much to DRS Designs for providing an image for the design team to use - I chose this sentiment called Hello How Are You.  Please visit their website to see all their wonderful products!
I used up some paper scraps from my stash (love doing that!!) and used a circle die to cut the sentiment and a scalloped die to frame it.  I added a few pearl embellishments as the finishing touch.
The sentiment is perfect this time of year, as we have a lot of friends from our campground closing up their units for the winter and leaving for "home".  We always try to stay in touch with them during the winter months, and this is a card I can send out many times!! So to all our camping friends....safe travels, have a great winter and see you next spring!
Please visit our challenge HERE to see some great inspiration from our design team and get your project uplinked for a chance to win a very nice prize from DRS Designs.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 412

Hello, and welcome to Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 412, sponsored by All Dressed Up.  Our theme this week is "For a Cause".  Thank you very much to All Dressed Up for providing an image for the design team members to use.  This cutie is from the image "Little Summer Girl 4".  Visit their website HERE to see all the lovely products they have.

It was difficult for me to decide on a single cause for my card, because there are so many great causes out there.  I decided my cause was to lend a helping hand to anyone needing it, whether it be for cancer, depression, domestic violence, etc.  Providing support for your friend(s) in need is really important to me and I definitely want to help out in any way I can. "If someone listens or stretches out a hand or whispers a word of encouragement or attempts to understand a lonely person, extraordinary things begin to happen." Loretta Girzartis

The circle and butterfly dies are from Stampin' Up and provide a beautiful background for the image, which was colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment is also from Stampin' Up. Pearls were added for accent.

Please visit our challenge this week to see the beautiful creations by the design team members and be sure to upload your "for a cause" project for an opportunity to win a lovely prize from All Dressed Up.   Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!!

Welcome to PIP Challenge 1839, an "Anything Goes" challenge, sponsored this week by Newton's Nook.  Thank you so much to them for being such an awesome sponsor!!  I used this adorable stamp set called "Snow Day" for my card this week. Please visit Newton's Nook Website to see all the adorable products they have to offer!  The images are colored with Copic marker, and I tore some white cardstock to make the snow hills, then used a Spectrum Noir sparkle marker to make glistening snow.  A Crafter's Companion embossing folder was used for the blue background paper, and the "Snow Day" sentiment was fussy cut from white cardstock.

I do hope you'll visit our challenge this week and see the great inspiration from the other Design Team Members.  Don't forget to uplink your project for a chance to win a great prize from Newton's Nook!  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!
