About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Terri. My grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels when I was a little girl, and that started my love of crafting. Over the years I tried different things but my favorite is still stamping and card making. And what makes it better now is that my 2 sisters like it also!! It's fun when we can get together and make cards!! I love learning new ideas and techniques and give hope to others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....follow along if you'd like and see what we can create!!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 345

Welcome to another Tuesday Throwdown Challenge!! Our theme this week is "stitching" and we are sponsored by Kim Sherrod - Lily Patch Boutique. Be sure to check out the great products that Kim has to offer!!

My image this week is from Stampin' Up, and I used a piercing grid to make my stitching marks.  It was really fun!!  I added some bling crystals in the flower center to finish off the card.  Thank you so much for stopping by....I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend, and I look forward to seeing your "stitching" creation in our challenge!!

PIP Challenge 1721

Welcome to PIP Challenge 1721, where our theme is Anything Goes.  Our sponsor this week is Fred She Said.  Please be sure to check out their site....the choices are amazing!!  I chose this beautiful digi called "v6 Daisies with Bracket Frame".  Love it!

I decided to try a new type of card this week - a Dutch Fold Card.  I've admired them for years but had never tried to make one before.  I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to make, and the versatility is awesome......so many options!  I colored the flower images with Copic markers and used some scraps from my stash. A few glitter accents on the flowers and bling in the flower centers, and there you have it!!  So much fun!  I do hope you'll join us at the challenge this week.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 343

Welcome to Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 343, where this week we are sponsored by Fred She Said!  Our challenge is "texture".  I chose to use the beautiful "v6 Daisies" mage and colored it with Copic markers.  Each of the flowers and leaves was fussy cut and arranged on a piece of white card stock embossed with a sunburst embossing folder from the Tim Holtz collection.  I used a piece of pinkish cardstock for the base. The sentiment is from Penny Black.  For the finishing touches I added a rhinestone from my stash and some Wink of Stella and glitter on the flower petals.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Be sure to check out the other outstanding creations by the design team members here, and have a wonderful day!  Looking forward to seeing your creation in the challenge!!

PIP Challenge 1719

YAY! It's time for another PIP Challenge, and this week we are sponsored by Sparkle N Sprinkle.
Please visit their site to see their awesome products!!  I chose this image called "Country Flowers" and printed it on watercolor paper.  I colored it with Tombow markers and an aqua pen. I mounted it on a pretty frame die cut and then again on light blue cardstock.  I added Wink of Stella accents on the flowers and while it was still wet, I added some glitter.  It's hard to see from the picture, but it turned out really sparkly!  I added a bow at the bottom to finish it off.  Please check out some great inspiration from the rest of the design team here, and be sure to link up your creation for this week's challenge.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 341

Welcome to Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 341, where this week we have a sketch challenge!!  You must follow the sketch to enter this week's challenge, which is sponsored by Kitty Bee Stamps.  This is the "Love Bug 05" image......isn't it adorable??

I colored the image using Copic markers and added glitter accents on the wings and antennae. I found these paper scraps in my stash and cut them according to the sketch.  I popped up the top layer with foam dots.  The sentiment is from Fun Stampers Journey.  I'm so looking forward to seeing what you create with this sketch - be sure to get some great inspiration from the other design team members here.  Thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!
