About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Terri. My grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels when I was a little girl, and that started my love of crafting. Over the years I tried different things but my favorite is still stamping and card making. And what makes it better now is that my 2 sisters like it also!! It's fun when we can get together and make cards!! I love learning new ideas and techniques and give hope to others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....follow along if you'd like and see what we can create!!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 329

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 329 - Heart Strings

Welcome to this week's Tuesday Throwdown challenge where our theme is "Heart Strings"......that means anything with hearts and string or twine.  Our sponsor this week is My Grafico, and we thank them for such beautiful images.....be sure to check out their product line!

I started with a double heart image, printed it on patterned paper and fussy cut it out. I punched a border and sewed the twine around the edges of the top layer.  I also wrapped it around the top layer a few times and tied a bow.  Then I layered this on a darker brown and finally on the base card.  The sentiment is from Door County Rubber Stamps.   My card turned out pretty rustic-looking, which was what I wanted, so I was pleased.  Thank you so much for stopping by - have a wonderful day!
