About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Terri. My grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels when I was a little girl, and that started my love of crafting. Over the years I tried different things but my favorite is still stamping and card making. And what makes it better now is that my 2 sisters like it also!! It's fun when we can get together and make cards!! I love learning new ideas and techniques and give hope to others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....follow along if you'd like and see what we can create!!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 367

Welcome to Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 367!  Our theme this week is WATERCOLOR and our lovely sponsor is Crafty Girl Creations.  Please visit her site to see the wonderful images she has available!  I chose "Snow Globe Ice Cream Cone" and watercolored it with Tombow markers and an aqua brush.  The "snow" was made using VersaMark with white embossing powder and then heat set.  I made a dotted border with a brown marker and layered the image on green patterned paper from my stash.  I ran a brown piece of cardstock through a Darice snowflake embossing folder and layered the image on top of this.  The sentiment is from Fun Stampers Journey and the finishing touch is 3 red rhinestones for the berries.

Thank you so much for stopping by - it's always great to see you!  Please see the other wonderful cards at this weeks challenge HERE and be sure to get your watercolored project linked up for a chance to win some product from Crafty Girl Creations!  Have a wonderful day!!

  2. Terri, I love the effects you created! The cone watercolored perfectly and such a great base for your ice cream treatment. What a fun image and you tied it beautifully together with your background.
