About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Terri. My grandmothers taught me how to crochet and embroider on dish towels when I was a little girl, and that started my love of crafting. Over the years I tried different things but my favorite is still stamping and card making. And what makes it better now is that my 2 sisters like it also!! It's fun when we can get together and make cards!! I love learning new ideas and techniques and give hope to others to step out of their comfort zone and try a few new things. Thanks so much for stopping by....follow along if you'd like and see what we can create!!

MFP Tutorial Challenge 36

MFP Tutorial Challenge 36 - Citrus Bag Background

I'd seen this technique before but had never tried it, so this was a new one for me.  I taped the mesh piece down over top of my white cardstock and used a sponge to ink up the white cardstock.  Then I mounted this on a pink base and used a stamp from Mark's Finest Papers "Mothers Magnolia" stamp set for my focal point.  I colored it with Copic markers before mounting it on a decorative circle cut out of the same pink as the base card.  I popped this circle up with pop dots.  I stamped a sentiment, also from the "Mother's Magnolia" stamp set underneath that and tied a ribbon around the white piece.  I added a small bow to finish it off.  Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.  Why not try this technique and join in the fun at Mark's Finest Papers challenge

Thank you to Mark's Finest Papers for choosing this entry as the winner of the Tutorial Challenge. I earned the stamp set "Broom Rides".
